1000 Origami Cranes For Japan
Check out this site created by BBDO/Proximity worldwide to show their support to Japan after the earthquake, tsunami and ongoing nuclear threat. I like it because the idea stems from something relevant to the culture of Japan. There’s a legend in Japan that says whoever folds 1000 cranes will get his/her wish granted. It fits the objective to give hope and it enabled everyone to...

Exoskeletons - Wearable Robots
This one is the most compact I’ve seen so far. I don’t think that its at optimal level yet, especially the one for people confined to a wheelchair but the future still looks bright and although its still not the best alternative at least now they have a choice. Use in the military is interesting. Ironman! I hope they go for that. Hehe. ...

Round up of Discount Sites in the Philippines...
This is a follow up post to my previous one about groupon here Anyway, I’ve noticed a lot of discount sites specifically group buying sites popping out lately. Some of them are using the “groupon-like” software that you can implement just by hiring a decent developer. Just do a quick search and download it. One thing is for sure, this is a win win for us consumers. Most of...

Good read about the two cousins who founded rovio, makers of angry birds and how they almost went bankrupt until the round red bird jumped in to save the day.

Trying Out Churp Churp PH (Earn from Tweets)
I just got this email from Nuff Nang blogger network about Churp Churp now expanding to the Philippines. I recall hearing about this before so might as well try it to see how it works. No campaigns yet so the only way to see how to monetize this is to participate in the member get member thing that they have going. The site gave me the link to refer people but I guess its still buggy coz...

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Is Insane
Insane is good by the way. On the Samsung site it says that the GALAXY Tab 10.1 is your ultimate entertainer. Uhm… not yet coz I’m still waiting for 3D virtual portable environments that reads your mind. Haha. In terms of entertainment, we’ll have to wait for the app development war to see who gets to claim the most sleepless nights. So far iOs apps are way ahead of the...

Disturbing Before and After Aerial Shots of Japan
Check out some disturbing before and after aerial photos of Japan. Check out the ABC News website for more details. You can hover and slide over the images to see the before and after shots. The after pictures look like they’re scenes from a movie. Let’s all pray for them. Here’s the link: http://www.abc.net.au/news/events/japan-quake-2011/beforeafter.htm

Google: Japan Person Finder →
Google launches their person finder to help strengthen efforts to assist Japan after that catastrophic earthquake. I’m still having a hard time accessing the site - seems to be down maybe due to the traffic its getting from the world. I really hope that this will greatly help especially when we all wake up tomorrow. I can’t imaging what we’ll see on the news tomorrow.

Bye Bye FBML →
Facebook announced a few months ago that they’ll be deprecating their famous FBML application by March 10. That’s today. One commonly used feature that FB dev dudes should look out for will be the “like first” or visible to fans only. It might start to get a little buggy.

4 Design Tips to Push Content
Here’s a quick one for budding web designers out there who are sick and tired of clients wanting to prioritize every single item on their webpage. Location - This is the easiest way to push content. Put ‘em on top and clients are happy. Make sure its the first thing they see then give yourself a pat on the back. Size - Another popular way to draw the eye to an important element on the design...

A Peak at the 8.9-Inch Samsung Galaxy Tab
I’ve been using the 7 inch Samsung Galaxy Tab for a couple of months now and I’m very happy with it. Android has been very friendly to me. I like it. For the past few months (and it sucks coz I already have one), Samsung has been spreading word about their “78910 what’s your tab life?” campaign. Quite clever - 7-inc, 8.9-inch, and a 10 inch… very deep...

Google SSL Beta  →
It’s still on beta but it has a lot of sweet features. I like the recipes feature :) Makes perfect sense to me. You guys should also start setting up your profiles.google.com so if ever someone does a search on you on Google, it’ll show your profile and you have full control over it.
